The engineering backbone: cloud, automation and reliable delivery.

This faculty builds the technical foundations that every other faculty depends on. Students learn core computing and networking concepts, then cloud architecture and containerised delivery, then advanced platform work: infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, observability, cost control and reliability engineering.

Curriculum pathway

Three levels, each with its own aim, entry expectations and assessed outcomes.

Level 3 — Platform, Reliability & Automation

Typically 10 weeks

Run platforms reliably and at controlled cost.

Assessed outcomes

  • Implement infrastructure as code end to end
  • Instrument observability and service objectives
  • Diagnose and remediate a production incident

Entry expectations

Completion of Level 2.
